Reporting Enhancements
New reporting features in TestTrack Pro 2009 let you create reports using your existing reporting tools, provide grouped data formats, enable better control over who has access to specific reports, and facilitate running and publishing TestTrack Pro reports from other applications.
External Reporting
Use the reporting tools your organization already has in place with TestTrack's new external reporting plug-ins. External reporting plug-ins let you create and view reports from external reporting services, such as SQL Server Reporting Services or Crystal Reports. External reporting gives you access to more data in the TestTrack project databases, allows for cross-project reporting, provides more flexibility and control of the report content and layout, and offers more output format options.

Grouped Data
New report stylesheets let you generate list reports with interactive drill-down charts of grouped data that can be changed directly in the browser used to view a report. The GroupingListReport.xslt stylesheet groups data rows that share a common value. The ListReportWithChart.xslt stylesheet provides a subtotal of two or more columns of numeric data.

Share Reports with Security Groups
While you may have hundreds of reports in a TestTrack project, most users do not need access to all of them. Instead of cluttering report lists with reports that only some groups need, TestTrack Pro 2009 lets you restrict access based on security groups.

Remote Report Generation Using SOAP
Need the same TestTrack reports every Monday morning to review your project's status? Now run TestTrack reports through the SOAP-based TestTrack SDK, enabling execution, publishing, and viewing of reports using real-time data. Check out the Report Publishing lab for a sample dashboard created with the SDK.
Automatic Client Upgrades
New automatic client upgrades make it much easier for administrators to roll out TestTrack Pro upgrades. Instead of manually upgrading all instances of the TestTrack Client, users can be prompted to upgrade when they log in and are guided through the installation process. Now you can always keep your team on the latest version of TestTrack Pro.

Additional Enhancements
TestTrack Pro 2009 also includes the following enhancements:
- The 'reported by' user's email address is now used as the primary identifier when importing issues from email, SoloSubmit, and SoloBug.
- Administrators can now set a project option that controls if automation rules generate system comments.
- Various server memory enhancements improve server efficiency.
- Projects with large numbers of users now load faster.
- Inactive projects are now immediately removed from the TestTrack Server cache, freeing memory for active projects.
