Surround SCM upgrades are available to all customers with a current support and maintenance plan.
Before You Upgrade
- Review the release notes for information about new features, enhancements, bug fixes, and important upgrade information.
- If you are upgrading from Surround SCM 2008 and earlier, review important upgrade information (PDF).
- If you are upgrading both TestTrack and Surround SCM, upgrade the product with the most recent release date last to guarantee you install the latest version of the Seapine License Server. For more information, see the Cannot Connect to the Seapine License Server After Upgrading knowledgebase article.
Surround SCM Client and Server Installers
These installers contain all Surround SCM components, including the Surround SCM Server, Seapine License Server, Proxy Server, Registry Utility, and the GUI and CLI clients.
Surround SCM Client-Only Installers
Client installers simplify installation on computers that only require client access to Surround SCM.
Native Oracle Access Installers
The Oracle OCI installers contain everything you need to access Oracle databases. You must install the OCI on the operating system that you are running the Surround SCM Server on.
Surround SCM 2008.1 Analyze Utility
Before upgrading from Surround SCM 2008.1.x to a later version, we strongly recommended that you run the Surround SCM 2008.1.x Analyze Utility to address any database issues. This analyze utility only works with Surround SCM 2008.1.x databases, so do not use it with earlier versions.
