Cannot View Surround SCM Repository History

When viewing Surround SCM repository history, the following error is returned:

‘Error getting history: Record not found; the selected item may not exist.’

This problem may also occur as an exception when collecting VCS repository changes from the Surround SCM TeamCity integration.


The SCMBRANCHREPOPATH or SCMEVENTSFORREPO function is in a different schema than other Surround SCM tables in the SQL Server database. All Surround SCM functions and tables must be in the same schema to avoid errors.


Make sure all Surround SCM functions and tables in the database use the same schema. Refer to the SQL Server help for information about altering schemas.
