Changing the Response Buffer Limit in Microsoft IIS 7 and Later

Article ID: 516  |  Last updated: 28 Apr, 2017

Microsoft IIS 7 and later use a default response buffer limit to control the amount of data exchanged between the web server and Helix ALM web clients. This limit may be too low to perform some Helix ALM actions. For example, the following issues may occur if the response buffer limit is too low:

  • Helix ALM Web users may not be able to log in to projects that populate user lists on demand if the project contains a larger number of users.
  • Matrix Report Publisher users may not be able to connect to the Helix ALM SOAP CGI when converting large matrix reports.

To prevent these issues, set the response buffer limit for the Helix ALM CGIs to 0 (unlimited). See the installation help for information.
