DHCP Support and TestTrack
The TestTrack Server application/service runs on your network server and is accessed from a client by its IP address or domain name. If your server's IP address is dynamically assigned by a DHCP server, TestTrack native and web clients may not be able to find the server.
An advanced DHCP server may support updating the domain name to map a newly leased server IP address. In this situation, using domain names to specify a server address should allow the TestTrack clients and the Web CGI to locate the server.
Note: This issue is not unique to TestTrack. Any client/server application has the same issue regarding clients or a Web CGI locating a server at a dynamically assigned address.
