"Configuring TTPro web version"

We are implementing TestTrack Pro version 7.6.2. I'd like to get the Web version deployed, but I am unable to find much documentation on the subject. We are installing on Linux, using Apache as the web server. Does any documentation exist? and if so where may I find it?

All of the WebSource was installed in the default locations at the time of the TestTrack server installation.

Thanks!

Hello,
I'm afraid I don't have any anwsers but I'm in exactly the same position.
I also installed everything according to the default installation.
One thing I noticed is that the URL in the documentation was not correct :
/ttweb/ttadmin/adminlogin.htm

I had to add "html" to the front.
/html/ttweb/ttadmin/adminlogin.htm

I haven't gotten much further than that.

Abby

The Web installation on Linux will do a search for httpd.conf on your system and try to determine the documents location (htdocs by default) wherever that might be. A ttweb directory is installed as a sub-directory of htdocs. The ScriptAlias is also searched to determine the physical location of the cgi-bin directory.

After running the installer to include the web it should be setup and ready to go by browsing to...

http://localhost/ttweb/login.htm

Problems can arise if you have multiple htdocs files on your system or if you are using a virtual server on Apache (so default Documents location is unused). The installer will prompt you to make some selections when conflicts are found or to allow you to manually enter the locations of htdocs or cgi-bin in the event Apache is not installed or httpd.conf cannot be found.

Every Linux flavor is a little different so the location of httpd.conf, htdocs and cgi-bin can vary depending on your distro.

If you want to double check your settings then locate the path of your htdocs directory in your httpd.conf file, also locate the cgi-bin directory. You can copy the ttweb folder to the htdocs location and the cgi scripts (ttcgi, ttadmcgi and ttsoapcgi) to the locations identified in the httpd.conf file. If these files are copied directly from the installer tar ball directory you will need to also edit the ttweb\login.htm and ttweb\ttadmin\adminlogin.htm files to replace the **** in the file with the proper relative cgi path which is usually "cgi-bin".

There are also settings in the ttstudio.conf file which identify some the web install settings such as the physical location of the ttweb and ttadmin directories and the relative path of the cgi files.
