- The TestTrack Server could crash when upgrading RDBMS projects on Linux.
- Exporting duplicated items with inline images to XML could use incorrect

- The TestTrack Client and add-ins could stop responding to change
notifications and display a 'An unexpected error occurred in
CTTUserSession::ProcessChangeNotifications()' error in the server log.
- Sent email that included only standard ASCII text could be sent as
charset="UTF-8" and cause mail servers to uuencode the contents.

- The workflow Diagram tab was not always displayed in TestTrack Pro

- TestTrack native databases will have a significant upgrade in the next
major TestTrack release. Existing native databases will be automatically
converted to the new format. The ODBC driver used to access native
databases will no longer be supported. This only affects customers who
created reports that directly query native databases. If you query your
databases directly, consider converting your server and project databases to
another supported database type. You may also want to customize TestTrack's
built-in reports. Additionally, Seapine Professional Services can create
custom reports to meet your specific needs.

Additional Notes
- A communication change was added in TestTrack 2011.1.2, which requires
upgrading the client, server, and CGI applications. TestTrack 2011.1.1
clients will not be able to connect to TestTrack 2011.1.2 Servers and
vice versa.

application repository, configure the server database location, and enable

Pro Server to retrieve and display playback history.
- Results reports now include a summary of all scripts included in a playback
session, how many times the scripts ran, and how many scripts passed or
failed during the session.
- Configure settings to automatically export results reports as PDF and HTML
files, and configure the output location.

- The wrong script file path could be used when synchronizing multiple scripts
with the application repository.

- Converting a mainline branch to another RDBMS connection that included a
destroyed mainline with the same name could fail.
- The Fix Defect dialog box did not correctly handle custom multi-line text
fields.
- Changing the workflow state of a branch's root repository failed.
- The Surround SCM SCCI library could remove custom plug-in entries from the
context menu.
- Defects were not displayed in the Duplicate Changes dialog box in January.
- The 32-bit Surround SCM SCCI library was installed to the incorrect
location on 64-bit Linux computers.
- Projects could not be bound to Surround SCM from the Visual Studio Change
Source Control dialog box.
- TestTrack integration settings for repositories were read incorrectly from

- Use the new detail grid view to perform test runs. An overview pane provides
a read-only view of the entire test run and a detail pane displays one step
at a time. Specify the result of each step, attach images and other files to
provide objective evidence of the step actual results, and view the name and
date/time of the last user to pass or fail a step.
- Enable enhanced compliance project options to require generating test runs
in detail grid view and apply rules to generated test runs, such as
requiring that defects are created for failed test runs, actual results are
provided for each step, and all steps in a test run pass before the test run
can be passed.

- The TestTrack Client and reports now display dates and decimals based on the
locale settings. (Client)
- Take advantage of the enhanced security available by using 64-bit user session
cookies in your SOAP applications.
- Specify a certification and testimony message to display in the Electronic
Signature dialog box.
- Click attachment hyperlinks in history change reports to open attachments.
- Capture and attach screenshots to multi-line text fields from the Insert

- Select the colors that indicate added and removed information in change

- Connecting to a SQL Server database could fail and return an 'Opening
database connection failed - Data source name not found or no default driver
specified' error.
- Multi-byte characters in list window columns were displayed incorrectly if
the text was truncated with an ellipsis. (Client)
- Burn down and burn up chart reports displayed incorrect data when the
TestTrack Server used a locale setting other than mm/dd/yyyy date format.
- The text/plain portion of emails sent from TestTrack always used Base64
encoding.
- Audit trail entries used the TestTrack Client date/time settings instead of
the TestTrack Server settings.
- The TestTrack Client could crash when entering workflow events under
specific circumstances. (Client)
- If the communications password in TestTrack did not match the Seapine
License Server, TestTrack users were prompted to enter the local password
and configure the license server settings.
- The TestTrack Client in Mac OS X could crash when dragging two folders

- The Workflow Events toolbar could not be dragged to other locations when

- TestTrack add-ins incorrectly updated live chart window settings and

- A CGI error could be returned when opening a defect with empty custom field

- The Email context menu was not available in Microsoft Outlook 2003 after the
TestTrack Outlook add-in was installed.
- Images on the Details tab in the Add/Edit Folder dialog boxes were not
stored in RDBMS databases even if the project option to store file
attachments in the database was set.
- File attachment .dat files used for inline images on the Details tab in the
Add/Edit Folder dialog boxes were not deleted from the ATTACH directory when
folders were deleted.
- A security permissions error could be displayed when adding requirements
or test cases if the Add Items to Public Folders security command was
disabled. (Client)
- Visual Studio 2010 could crash when refreshing empty TestTrack list windows.
- Ampersands were displayed as '&' in change and audit trail reports.
- List window column filter menus could display multiple entries and
incorrectly filter columns that included pop-up menu items with

- List window column totals for actual hours did not always display the
correct value. (Client)
- Deleting a custom field in a TestTrack product could also remove a field
with a similar ID from filters used in other TestTrack products.
- Projects could be displayed twice in the login dialog box Project list after
restarting the TestTrack Server.
- Filter restrictions based on custom fields could return the wrong data after
a field was deleted and another field was added.

- The percent sign (%) character could not be pasted into the defect

- Clicking the next and previous arrow buttons on the Edit Defect window when
the defect was locked incorrectly opened the Electronic Signature dialog

- The Release Notes Version field was sorted as a string instead of version.
- A database error could occur when merging defects with attached changelists.
- Before save triggers that ran when moving a defect to the Closed workflow
state could prevent saving a defect if required fields were not

- Attachments on defects added using the TestTrack SDK were not deleted from
the ATTACH directory after they were uploaded to an RDBMS database.

The Surround SCM database format changed to RDBMS format. The upgrade may
take an entire day depending on the size and complexity of the existing
database. Before upgrading, we strongly recommend that you run the Surround
SCM 2008 Analyze Utility to analyze and repair any data issues in the existing
server database.

If you upgrade from Surround SCM 5.x or later, the server database is
automatically upgraded to Surround SCM 2008 format before it is upgraded to
RDBMS format. We recommend backing up the server database before installation
because you cannot revert back to the flat file database format after
upgrading to Surround SCM 2009.

Bug Fixes
- Adding a checkpoint on a control with a Rectangle property caused QA Wizard
Pro to crash.
- Commenting blocks of steps could delete the last change to the script.
- Running multiple scripts in Firefox caused the scripts to fail. (Web)
- The Window keyword was not highlighted in Text View to indicate it is
reserved.
- The Sine and Cosine mathematical functions returned string values instead
of numerical values.
- Recording against an application in Firefox could cause an exception. (Web)
- Scripts that called two or more scripts with a user-defined function did
not run correctly.
- Overlapping controls could be captured and stored in the application
repository incorrectly when recording against an application in Internet
Explorer 6. (Web)
- Clicking Reload repeatedly after deleting a local datasheet and creating a
new datasheet with the same name caused QA Wizard Pro to disappear even
though the application was still running.
- Recording or running scripts against applications that open and close
windows could cause an exception.
- Adding a checkpoint on a System Drawing Rectangle property caused an
exception. (Web)
- Deleting all reports in the Workspace pane, selecting a script, and
pressing the Page Up key caused an exception.
- Low-level statements that selected menu items did not always run correctly.
- Select actions on tree controls could be incorrectly recorded. (Win)
- Data-driven scripts did not iterate through all data rows if one or more
rows included data that caused a failure.
- Recording in low-level mode could cause an unhandled exception.
- Running a script that updated the associated local datasheet caused an
exception.
- Printing was disabled after attempting to print out of range pages from a
datasheet.
- Incorrectly adding a Window() function as a case in a Select Case statement
caused an exception.
- Using code completion to add control properties to a statement caused an

- Scripts with select actions on Qt tree control nodes that scrolled out of

- The SetContext statement was not added to scripts when the ConnectToProcess

- QA Wizard Pro incorrectly allowed modifications to read-only external
datasheets and either crashed or lost data when datasheet changes were
saved.
- The Add/Edit Statement dialog box did not support expressions to control
the count in loop statements.
- Using code completion could delete adjacent text in a statement.
- Code completion allowed statements to be added on invalid objects.
- Scripts testing Windows applications could not run remotely using the
global repository unless the executable location and working directory
paths on the remote computer matched the client computer. (Win)
- QA Wizard Pro could exceed the available system memory during recording,
which caused an exception.
- Deleting a version in the global application repository while another user
edited the version could cause an unhandled exception.
- QA Wizard Pro did not close completely when Exit Application was clicked on
the Manage Licenses dialog box.
- The GetControlData function did not return the currently selected item for
the Text property of a combo box control when running a Web script in
Internet Explorer 6. (Web)
- Configuration changes were not saved and QA Wizard Pro did not disconnect
from TestTrack when QA Wizard Pro was closed.
- Adding Unicode characters to script names caused QA Wizard Pro to crash.
- QA Wizard Pro created incorrect statements when recording against
applications that change focus when the function keys are pressed.
- Recording against a Windows application immediately after deleting an

- A value could not be entered in a version field in the Fix dialog box when
attaching a file to a TestTrack defect, even if the TestTrack project
options allowed entering text in version fields. (GUI)
- Adding a repository to the root repository of a branch created from a
subrepository on the mainline branch mapped the repository to the wrong
internal archive if the name matched an existing repository on the mainline

TestTrack ServerAllowAutoAssignOnAssigned registry key and set the string

- The option to sort list reports in descending order reverted back to
ascending after restarting the TestTrack Server.
- The tag in detail reports was not included in XML
exports.
- An 'Edit window could not be found' error could occur when clicking the lock

- New projects could not be created on 64-bit Windows systems when the
TestTrack Server was installed in the virtual Program Files (x86) directory.

TestTrack Pro no longer supports access to SQL Server databases via iODBC
on Linux and Mac OS X due to ongoing third-party driver issues. MySQL, Oracle,
and TestTrack Pro native databases are supported on Linux and Mac OS X. ODBC
support is only available for TestTrack Pro Windows servers.

Surround SCM integration for Mac OS X requires Surround SCM 4.1.3.
