Article ID: 836  |  Last updated: 06 Jun, 2016

Note: The following information only applies to QA Wizard Pro 2016.0.2 and earlier.

Problem

When installing QA Wizard Pro as a Windows Server 2003 local administrator, the installation fails and the following error is returned:

'.NET is not installed'

Cause

The Windows Server 2003 configuration restricts application installer access to system folders and registry keys.

Solution

Run the QA Wizard Pro installer as a domain administrator user.

  1. Save the QA Wizard Pro installer on the local computer.
  2. Right-click the QA Wizard Pro installer and choose Run As.
  3. Select the 'The following user' option and enter the domain administrator username and password.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Double-click the QA Wizard Pro installer to start the installation.

If you still cannot install QA Wizard Pro as a domain administrator, see Cannot Install QA Wizard Pro on Windows Server 2003.
