Silverlight Applications Crash in Firefox When Recording or Running QA Wizard Pro Scripts

Article ID: 811  |  Last updated: 07 Jun, 2017

Note: The following information only applies to QA Wizard Pro 2016.1 and earlier.

When recording or running QA Wizard Pro scripts, Microsoft Silverlight applications running in Mozilla Firefox 3.6.4 or later crash when a message box is displayed.

Using the MessageBox.Show method to display Silverlight message boxes causes Firefox to become unresponsive or plugins running in Firefox to crash. This is a known Firefox issue.

Record and run scripts that test Silverlight message boxes in a supported version of Internet Explorer.

You can also replace the MessageBox.Show method with a custom ChildWindow class. See the Silverlight help for information.
