When integrated with Surround SCM on Mac OS X, Dreamweaver MX/MX 2004 returns an Access is Denied error after using the Check In and Put commands.

Dreamweaver MX/MX 2004 expect files to be writable after the Check In and Put commands are complete. This is a known Dreamweaver MX/MX 2004 Mac issue.

  1. Start Surround SCM.
  2. Choose Tools > User Options.
  3. Select Check In File from the File Dialog Defaults category.
  4. Select the Mark files writable option.
  5. Select Add Files under the File Dialog Defaults category.
  6. Select the Make files writable option.
  7. Click OK to save the changes.

Note: This issue has been fixed in Dreamweaver MX 8. Upgrading will resolve the problem.
