Using Mozilla Firefox with TestTrack Pro Web

Article ID: 573  |  Last updated: 05 Jan, 2015

Note: The following information only applies to TestTrack 2013.0.2 and earlier.

Problem

When you submit a TestTrack Pro Web page that has a password field, such as editing a user, one of the following messages is displayed:

Please confirm which user you are changing the password for.

Would you like to have Password Manager change the stored password for administrator?

Cause

The first time you access TestTrack Pro Web via Firefox, you are prompted to allow the Password Manager to remember the password. If you selected Yes, then later try to edit a user or submit a page with a password field, the Password Manager incorrectly assumes that you are trying to log in again. You receive one of the password messages because Firefox is trying to update the TestTrack Pro Web login information.

Solution

The easiest solution is to select No when the Password Manager prompts you to allow it to remember login information.

If you already selected Yes, you can remove the TestTrack Pro Web client entry from the Firefox Password Manager. Refer to Firefox help for more information.
