Note: The following information only applies to TestTrack 2013.0.2 and earlier.

Static customized TestTrack Pro Web login pages can be used to modify the pages cosmetically, add company-specific information pages, or limit access to specific projects. You can also create a separate TestTrack Pro Web login page for each of your projects and different pages for customers or users to access.

Before you begin

You should backup all the files in the TestTrack Pro Web directory before you start. The directory is generally located at C:\InetPub\wwwroot\tweb. You will also need access to your web server and your Web root directory. In addition, you need basic working knowledge of HTML.

Creating custom TestTrack Pro Web login pages

Creating customized TestTrack Pro Web login pages is easy and requires a minimal amount of HTML knowledge.

  1. Log in to TestTrack Pro Web.
  2. When the Login to TestTrack Pro Web page opens, right-click the window and select View Source. The source code opens in Notepad or a similar text editor.
  3. Select all of the source code and copy and paste it into a new HTML document.
  4. Save the HTML document. This new document is your customized static HTML page template.
  5. To restrict the number of databases a user can access, locate the <select name="databaseid"> tag. Save the new HTML document and move it to the Web root directory. You now have a working, customized TestTrack Pro Web login page.
