Article ID: 558  |  Last updated: 05 Jan, 2015

Note: The following information only applies to TestTrack 2013.0.2 and earlier.

Most date fields in TestTrack Pro Web are populated based on the user's local regional settings. Some date fields, such as the Fixed Date, are generated by the TestTrack Server.

Windows servers

Running as an application

If the TestTrack Server runs as an application, the date format used in TestTrack Pro Web is determined by the current user's settings. Edit the registry to change the short date format. The date format is in the following registry location:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\International\sShortDate

Running as a service

If the TestTrack Server runs as a Windows service, the date format used in TestTrack Pro Web is determined by the system settings. Edit the registry to change the short date format. The date format is in the following registry location:
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\International\sShortDate

Remember, changing either registry key affects any other program using this information. TestTrack does not read the registry but calls the appropriate Windows API for the short date format.

Unix servers

Set the date format in the /etc/ttstudio.conf file.
