Removing index.html from the TestTrack Web URL

Article ID: 504  |  Last updated: 29 Dec, 2014

Note: The following information applies only to TestTrack Web 2013.1 and later configured on IIS 6.

When TestTrack Web is installed, the index.html file is added to the ttweb directory in the IIS document folder (e.g., wwwroot). The URL used to access TestTrack Web must include this filename. For example:

http://www.mycompany.com/ttweb/index.html

To eliminate index.html from the URL, you can make it a default document in IIS. For example, the URL can be shortened to:

http://www.mycompany.com/ttweb

Refer to the IIS 6 Setting Default Directories help for additional information.

Note: Apache and other supported IIS versions include index.html as a default page by default. No additional configuration is required.
