CGIs on Linux Cannot Connect to the Seapine License Server or TestTrack Server

Problem

Seapine License Server and TestTrack CGIs hosted on Linux cannot connect to the application server if SELinux security policies are installed.

Cause

By default, SELinux security policies prevent CGI executables from making network requests.

Solution

Use the following command to enable network requests from CGI executables.

setsebool -P httpd_can_network_connect 1
