Using Hyperlinks in Email Notifications

Article ID: 414  |  Last updated: 30 Dec, 2014

Note: This information only applies to TestTrack 7.6 and earlier.

In TestTrack, you can include email notification hyperlinks in email templates and user notifications that take users directly to the related record. For example, when users receive an assignment email, they can click the hyperlink and go directly to the assigned record.

To add email notification hyperlinks:

  1. Choose Tools > Administration > Email Templates.
  2. Select the email template you want to add the hyperlink to and click Edit.
  3. You can also add email notification hyperlinks when you add email templates.
  4. Add the %NURL% field code and any text to the body of the message.
  5. When the template is generated, the field code is replaced with a hyperlink to the record.

Note: If you send a plain text email with a hyperlink link in it, most email clients make the link clickable. If you send an HTML email with a hyperlink in it, use href tags to make the link clickable (e.g., <a href="%NURL%"> Text </a>)
