Starting the TestTrack Server on Mac OS X Returns a Socket Create Error

Problem

The TestTrack Server on Mac OS X cannot be restarted after a crash if the TestTrack Client or TestTrack Server Admin Utility is running on the same computer. The Startup.log file includes entries similar to the following:

Wed Oct 5 01:03:11 2005 Server log startup for TestTrack 7.5.0 (Mac OS X)
Wed Oct 5 01:03:13 2005 Error during Socket Create for Port [1566]: bind() :Address already in use
Wed Oct 5 01:03:13 2005 ListeningThread: Error doing Initialization!

Cause

The TestTrack Server cannot access a port because it is locked by the TestTrack Client or TestTrack Server Admin Utility.

Solution

Close the TestTrack Client or TestTrack Server Admin Utility and restart the TestTrack Server.
