SQL Server and Oracle Errors Occur When Creating TestTrack Projects

Article ID: 390  |  Last updated: 31 Dec, 2014

Problem

The following errors occur when creating a new TestTrack project on Linux using an RDBMS connection:

SQL Server error:

The following SQL command: ' CREATE TABLE TTPROJECTS ( ProjectID numeric(10) NOT NULL, TTProjName varchar(32) NOT NULL, TTProjUUID varchar(38) NOT NULL, TTServUUID varchar(38) NULL, TTProjVers varchar(10) NULL, TTServDBID numeric(10) NULL )' returned the following error: ' [OpenLink][ODBC][SQL Server]There is already an object named 'TTPROJECTS' in the database. (2714) QODBC3: Unable to execute statement'

Cause

TestTrack cannot use the Unicode iODBC drivers. You will not encounter the error when creating or testing the RDBMS connection, but instead when you try to create a new TestTrack project using an RDBMS connection configured with a Unicode driver.

You will see the error if you are using any of the following OpenLink Unicode iODBC drivers:

  • OpenLink SQL Server Lite Driver (Unicode)
  • OpenLink SQL Server Lite Driver (Unicode) (multi threaded)
  • OpenLink Oracle 9.x Lite Driver (Unicode)
  • OpenLink Oracle 9.x Lite Driver (Unicode) (multi threaded)

Solution

Do not use OpenLink’s Unicode drivers. Use OpenLink’s non-Unicode drivers.
