Modifying ALM Data Warehouse Configuration Files

Article ID: 255  |  Last updated: 26 Mar, 2015

Seapine ALM Data Warehouse has two configuration files that you can edit to change specific information after installation:

  • The ALM Data Warehouse configuration file contains the port numbers that the ALM Data Warehouse Server listens on and temporary storage location for copies of SQLite databases imported from Seapine products.
  • The Seapine ALM SQLite Importer configuration file contains unique identifiers for the ALM Data Warehouse and importer installations, port number that the importer listens on, encrypted importer password, and temporary storage location for copies of the SQLite databases imported from Seapine products.

Both configuration files are stored in the conf directory in the Seapine ALM Data Warehouse application directory (e.g., C:Program Files (x86)SeapineSeapine ALM Data Warehouse).

Note: Before editing the configuration files, stop the ALM Data Warehouse Server or SQLite importer service. Restart it when you finish.

ALM Data Warehouse configuration file

The ALM Data Warehouse configuration file is named almdw.properties and contains the following values:

  • almrp.port—Port that the ALM Data Warehouse Server listens on. The default port is 8080.
  • almrp.https.port—Port that the ALM Data Warehouse Server listens on if HTTPS is enabled. The default port is 8999.
  • almrp.dbdir—Directory that stores copies of SQLite databases last imported from Seapine products. The default directory is dbs, which is relative to the ALM Data Warehouse application directory. Can also use an absolute path.

SQLite Importer configuration file

The SQLite Importer configuration file is named almsi.properties and contains the following values.

Note: The SQLite Importer configuration file is installed on each computer that the importer is installed on.

  • si.server.almrpuuid—Universally unique identifier (UUID) for the ALM Data Warehouse installation bound to the SQLite Importer. We do not recommend modifying or deleting this value because ALM Data Warehouse will no longer be able to communicate with the SQLite Importer.
  • si.server.dbdir—Directory that stores copies of the current and last import of SQLite databases from Seapine products. The default directory is dbs, which is relative to the ALM Data Warehouse application directory. Can also use an absolute path.
  • si.server.port— Port that the importer service listens on. The default port is 8090.
  • si.server.uuid—Universally unique identifier for the SQLite Importer. Do not modify or delete this value because ALM Data Warehouse will no longer be able to communicate with the SQLite Importer.
  • si.server.password—Encrypted SQLite Importer password. If you need to reset the SQLite password, delete the encrypted password in this value and then change it in the ALM Data Warehouse web application.
