Upgrading TestTrack

We recommend that you perform a full upgrade for all major and maintenance releases. The upgrade process updates driver files and executables. It does not affect existing data files. During the upgrade, the Seapine License Server, TestTrack Server, and all clients will be upgraded.

Perform the following steps to upgrade:

  1. Stop the Seapine License Server and TestTrack Server applications.
  2. Create recursive backup copies of all files in the \LicenseServDB\ and \TTServDB\ directories.
  3. Run the TestTrack installation program to install the latest versions of the Seapine License Server, TestTrack Server, and TestTrack client and Web components.
  4. Start the Seapine License Server and TestTrack Server applications. 
  5. Upgrade the TestTrack projects. See the TestTrack Server Admin Guide for information.

If you are migrating your databases to RDBMS, the following order works best:

  1. Upgrade to the current version of TestTrack.
  2. Upgrade the databases to the current version.
  3. Convert to RDBMS.
