Hey there - I've got a web application which has several .NET apps that are launched from within.  I can't seem to get QAWP to recognize any of the .NET applications after they're launched from the browser when populating the repository.  It only grabs items from the browser itself.  Any way to do a hybrid Windows/Browser test?   Thanks!

You can definitely do this using QA Wizard Pro. What you will need to do is to record the web based actions as a browser app.

Then stop QA Wizard Pro and connect to these running .NET apps from QA Wizard Pro (record against an existing process) but now your repository cannot be for a web app since the process is an EXE. So be sure to have a repository setup for the browser recording and one for each .NET exe you are running.

Then you can record each of those and they can be put together as a single playback process.

The key here is to tell QAW that you are switching to another application repository instance.

Example:
Your browser script starts like this.

Script.SetContext("WysiCorp Web Site/1.0")
Script.RunApp()

Your windows script starts like this.

Script.ClearContext() 'This is the important bit to reset what you are recording or doing the playback against.
Script.SetContext("Bug Reporter/1.0")
Script.RunApp()
