I have brand new machine just setup few days ago with Surround and Visual Studio 2015.  From VS, "Compare" tool will not fire up because of this error.  From Surround the compare tool works.  The error I'm getting is....


Unable to use guiffy because the configuration options are incorrect.  Please verify the settings in User Options.


I don't see anything wrong with User Options in Surround.  Can you help look for what to change in User Options?  Thanks.

The Diff tool setup is done per user and the default installation of SurroundSCM does have Guiffy installed and the default settings setup for you.

Thank you for the screenshots.  Unfortunately, the screenshots look identical to current setting, except I'm using 64 bit installation so the path to the program is different.  However, as a test, I did install 32 bit version on another clean machine and that did not work neither, getting the same error message.  Nothing is changed from default installation.  For the both versions, the machine is 64 bit Windows Server 2012 R2.  Anything else I can try?  Thanks.

I think I figured out.  The VS was running under different user context (running as a local admin).  This caused Surround to run under the same user and that user didn't have first screenshot setup empty.  This is different user from running Surround from desktop, for example.  I filled in as local paths and compare tool now runs ok under VS.  Thanks.
