Lakota Local School District Automates Supplemental Contract Management Process with Seapine nPath

Mason, Ohio—May 25, 2006—Seapine Software, Inc., a global provider of innovative software solutions to manage process, change, and quality throughout the enterprise, announced that the Lakota Local School District selected Seapine’s nPath to manage and automate its supplemental contract management process. The Lakota district, which is the largest public school district in Ohio rated “excellent,” plans to go live with Seapine’s business process management (BPM) solution by the end of May. “We were initially considering a custom application to help manage our supplemental contract process,” said John Laws, Director of Information Technology at Lakota. “This was a costly proposition that would have taken much longer to deploy. We chose nPath for BPM because it is a browser-based, flexible tool set and our investment versus a custom solution was a fraction of the cost.” Seapine’s nPath will enable the Lakota district to streamline its supplemental contract management process and reduce contract completion from days to hours. In addition, Lakota is currently researching financial and HR processes within the district to leverage the advanced workflow planning, issue management, communication, and reporting capabilities of nPath.
