Seapine Software Raises Funds for the Freestore Foodbank

Cincinnati Software Company Matches Employees’ Donations Dollar for Dollar

Mason, OH—August 6, 2008—Seapine Software, Inc., a Cincinnati-based global software provider, and its employees recently donated over $3,000 to the Freestore Foodbank.

The Freestore Foodbank provides food and services while working to create stability and further self-reliance for people in crisis. The organization mobilizes citizens to end hunger and address its causes in the Greater Cincinnati area. They distribute donated and surplus food to 450 non-profit agencies in 20 counties across 3 states, who in turn help prevent hunger in their own neighborhoods.

Over the years, Seapine has made regular contributions to the Freestore as part of company events. This donation, its largest to date, came from a raffle held at its annual picnic on July 12. Employees purchased $1,500 worth of tickets and the company matched the amount donated by employees dollar for dollar.

About the Freestore FoodbankThe Freestore Foodbank, founded in 1971, serves about 160,000 people in southern Ohio, northern Kentucky and southeastern Indiana. In addition to providing holiday meals for more than 37,000 people each year, they supply food and clothing to people who are unemployed, or whose homes have been destroyed by flood or fire.
